Job Description
The Inpatient Medical Coder is responsible for accurately coding medical records for inpatient admissions, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies. This includes analyzing and translating medical documentation into standardized codes (ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Review inpatient medical records for coding.
- Ensure coding accuracy for compliance.
- Collaborate with staff to clarify documentation.
- Stay updated on coding guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
- Recent medical coding experience.
- Active certification required.
