Job Description

FOOD SAFETY AUDITOR

Food Safety Auditors handle various duties that enhance the overall standards and compliance of food manufacturing activities. They perform thorough audits, examine records, and assess procedures to ensure compliance with food safety standards. When possible, problems are recognized, they collaborate closely with management to create and implement corrective action strategies. Furthermore, Food Safety Auditors remain informed about changing food safety regulations and optimal practices, guaranteeing that the organizations they support uphold the utmost standards of safety and quality.

TASKS and RESPONSIBILITIES

Conducts on-site audits for restaurants, commissaries, cafeterias, and various food facilities following the audit scheme and the company’s Food Safety protocols. (Compliance with HACCP, GMP’s and applicable food safety standards.)

• Auditors travels and visit site locations, conduct inspections, assess compliance, evaluate corrective measures, and present their audit findings for assessment and validation.

Willing to travel (generally field work) around CALABARZON, Metro Manila and North Luzon and will also assist in catering event.

Identifying potential food safety risks and providing recommendations for improvement and follow up corrective actions. Verify corrective and preventive action (CAPA) following audits.

Assessing documentation, records, and procedures to ensure compliance with food safety standards.

Document audit findings and prepare clear and accurate report.

Working with management to create and execute remedial action strategies

Preparing detailed audit reports and presenting findings to management

Staying up-to-date with changes in food safety regulations and best practices.

Support regulatory inspections and external/3rd party audits.

Provide food safety recommendation and training to staff as needed.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Attention to detail and ability to identify potential risks

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Experience in conducting audits and developing corrective action plans

Proficiency in data analysis and report writing

Ability to work independently.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree in Food Science or related field (BS Food Technology, Nutrition, HRM, Chemistry)

Knowledgeable in Good Manufacturing processes, HACCP and EHS.

Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Database systems

Experience in food safety, quality assurance or auditing is an advantage.
